How LimoFind collects SMS opt-in consent
LimoFind (operated by Clix Marketing, Inc.) is a free, invite-only network where licensed limousine operators offer jobs they cannot cover to other member operators. There is no public or self-serve signup: every member is personally interviewed and vetted by our administrator before an account is created.
The opt-in flow, step by step
- An operator is interviewed and vetted by phone, provides their mobile number, and is invited to join. If they wish to proceed, the administrator reads the verbal invitation script below, verbatim. Verbal agreement alone never activates messaging — no text message is ever sent on the basis of the phone call.
- They receive a personal link to LimoFind. Because membership is invitation-only, this screen cannot be reached by the public — the exact screen is reproduced below.
- On their first visit, before any text messages are sent, they must review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and check an unchecked-by-default consent box agreeing to receive job-related text messages.
- Their acceptance is recorded with a timestamp in our database. Only then do job-related texts begin.
- Every member can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or reply HELP for help. Opt-outs are honored automatically.
The verbal invitation script (read verbatim on the onboarding call)
“Jobs on LimoFind are dispatched by text message, so as a member you’ll receive job alerts, bid confirmations, award notifications, and follow-ups by SMS at the mobile number you gave me. Message frequency varies with job activity, and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Do I have your permission to send these messages to this number?”
Even after a verbal yes, messaging is not enabled until the operator personally checks the written consent box shown below on their first visit.
